Gabby is a founding pastor of El Camino Covenant Church, serving bi-vocationally as both a pastor and the Executive Director of Because Justice Matters. Her leadership has been shaped by years of ministry alongside women, youth, and families in San Francisco, and she is currently completing her Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Community Development. And, she is married to Mateo. :)

Mateo Alzate

Next Gen + Worship Pastor | Founder

Mateo is a founding pastor of El Camino Covenant Church, serving as both the Youth (Next Generation) Pastor and Worship Pastor. Born in Colombia and raised on the mission field, his leadership has been shaped by decades of ministry and a deep commitment to discipleship and worship. He holds a Master’s degree in Christian Community Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership with a minor in Music Ministry.

Mateo is passionate about discipling young people and creating spaces where others can encounter God through worship. He has been married to Gabby for nine years.

He also has a well-documented ability to turn a simple conversation into a multi-hour deep dive on theology, usually without realizing it.
