El Camino Covenant Church
A sacred home in the heart of San Francisco to discover abundant life in Jesus.
Together, we follow Jesus into the heart of the city, demonstrating His love, justice, and mercy as a community shaped by His Kingdom.
This is the heart of who we are, and what we’re building together.
El Camino is a church being formed in the heart of San Francisco, seeking to follow the Way of Jesus together.
We are seeking to live lives shaped by His love, justice, and mercy in our city.
Whether you are exploring faith or have been walking with Jesus for years, there is a place for you here.
OUR STORY
El Camino didn’t begin with a strategy or a plan to start a church.
It began with people.
Over time, through shared meals, conversations, prayer, and everyday life, relationships were formed; rooted in trust, consistency, and a deep love for God and neighbor. What was being built wasn’t a program, but a community.
And then a question started to come up.
Not once, but again and again.
“When are you starting a church?”
“We’re not.”
“When you do, we’re coming.”
At first, it felt almost surprising. That had never been the goal.
But the question lingered. Because beneath it was something true: people were already experiencing community, belonging, and spiritual formation together. Something was already taking shape.
Through years of presence, service, and discipleship in San Francisco, that sense of community deepened. People were being known. Faith was being formed. Leaders were being raised up. And what had been happening organically began to reveal a larger invitation.
Not to leave what had been built, but to expand it.
What started as a community-rooted expression has grown into a shared vision: a church in the heart of San Francisco shaped by the same commitments: presence, justice, mercy, and formation in the way of Jesus.
El Camino Covenant Church is the fruit of that journey.
A community formed through relationship.
Built on trust.
Grounded in a shared desire to follow Jesus together.
This church is not starting from nothing.
It is a continuation of what God has already been doing.
And we believe this is just the beginning.
